Practical love, right to the end
As the letter nears its close, the writer gets wonderfully practical. Keep on loving one another! Don't forget hospitality to strangers, for some who have done so have entertained angels without realizing it!
Remember those in prison and those mistreated, as if you were there with them. Marriage should be honoured by everyone. Don't chase after money — be content, because God has said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' Remember your leaders who first spoke God's Word to you, and imitate their faith.
Through Jesus, let us continually offer God a sacrifice of praise — words from lips that confess His name — and not forget to do good and share with others, for these please God greatly. The writer even asks for prayer for himself, that he might be restored to them soon.
